Belagavi District Co-operative Milk Producers' Societies' Union Limited

The‘Mini Punjab of Karnataka', the city of Rani Chennamma the freedom fighter. The city famous for tobacco is one of the Milk Unions specializing in processing & marketing of ‘Samrudhi', high Fat mixed Milk. It has more than 556 functioning DCSs covering 10 taluks. Union markets substantial quantities of Nandini Milk in the neighboring State of Goa also.

It has chilling centers at Gokak-40 TLPD, Ramadurga-20 TLPD, Athani-20 TLPD and Chikodi-20 TLPD,  with a total capacity of 1,00,000 LPD. There are 13 Bulk Milk Coolers and 175 Automatic Milk Collection units in the union.

The union procures on an Average of 1.65 lakh kgs/day of milk and sells 0.70 lakh litres/day of milk. The Union also produces Butter, Ghee, SMP & Kunda.
